Dear Melissa,
Letter From the Editor:
WHAT YOU NOTICE MATTERS! And, what I notice is that more goodness and joy fills my every day. Or, perhaps I should say: I'm aware of more goodness and joy than ever before.
I am experiencing contentedness as a constant companion rather that a fair-weather friend. Of course, maybe it is weather related. We've been getting some stupendiously sunny days here in Seattle and that is an awesome enjoyment after months of rain.
Yet, I know that this shift is more than weather induced. At a pace unprecedented in my life, plans for exciting workshops and fun retreats are shaping up for later in the year. I never used to plan very far in advance, but I didn't realize that old fears and worries ran that agenda. With a world of happy possibility in front of me, my calendar fills up with ease. People call me to suggest adventures and fascinating events and, being in flow, I smile and say, "Yes, that sounds wonderful, let's do it!"
Dream boards!) have been the most fantastic tool for helping me to progressively and confidently live happily in the moment while moving in the direction of my dreams with excited curiosity and expectation.
Springtime is so joyful with more daylight and everything in bloom. So I'm doing my part to infuse you with levity and inspiration. Enjoy my interview with the bliss coach Miriam Evers. She's known about the power of the mind since she was six! Then soak up my tips for experiencing daily joy.
I'd love to hear from you. Let me know what you're noticing! Let me know what challenges you face as you stay aware of your particular life path. Starting this month I'm posting letters from my readers (see right column). So if you'd like a little free exposure for your thoughts and ideas, send all your comments, ideas and questions to me at: wadscomm@msn.com or online at: www.melissawadsworth.com
| Meet Follow-Your-Bliss Coach Miriam Evers |
 |
"Joy first then anything else you have time for." That's the motto of Follow-Your-Bliss coach Miriam Evers. Miriam is one self-aware woman whose passion for helping others find and follow their joy is palpable. Everything she says is crystal clear and emanates a bright tone of happiness.
So how did Miriam get to such an inspiring place? It started with a few warts. When she was six, Miriam complained to her father about her warts. He suggested that she rub chalk on them. And, lo and behold, after a couple of days of chalk treatment they disappeared! He told her, "I know nothing about warts or chalk, but I do know about the power of the mind."
Power of Thought Miriam's enthusiasm for the power of thought led her to study with Louise Hay in the late 1980s. "I practiced positive affirmations and visualizations with delightful results, " she explained. She attracted her dream job, dream home and dream man.
Inspired to teach what she knew, Miriam became a personal growth counselor and led workshops on how to lead a purposeful life. "But," she said, "sometimes affirmations didn't work, so I embarked on a quest to discover why not."
The Key to the Law of Attraction Six years ago Miriam discovered the answer in the book Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn. It's the astonishing power of feelings that is the real magnetic pull in the manifesting process. The book also led Miriam to the work of Abraham-Hicks and to a deep understanding of the law of attraction.
"The key is to get happy now. Many people think, 'when I get that thing I'll be happy.' The paradox is that if you reach for happy feelings first, everything you want will come." Hence her "Joy First" motto.
Allowing the Universe to Answer Miriam says that the biggest challenge is not in the asking, it's in the allowing what we have asked for to appear. We don't have enough practice with sustained faith in the universe.
According to Abraham, 17 seconds of pure positive thought with emotion equals 2,000 hours of manpower action! That's a year's worth of action. Yet, most of us can't get past 8 seconds before contradicting ourselves. It's those "I want a car, but I can't afford it" kind of thoughts.
To flex the power of your imagination, Miriam suggests that you play the 17 second game. "Focus with excitement on something you want without attachment and without neediness. For instance, imagine hearing your favorite song on the radio or finding the perfect parking spot. Be content with what is eager for more and you will create what you want with joy and ease," she happily instructs.
To help people do this Miriam, who is a certified professional co-active coach, offers a teleclass-class called, Jumpstart the Life of Your Dreams: Get High on Life in 5 Days. Go to www.joyousrenegade.com to view her schedule.

| How to Align with Happiness |
 |
We are daily blessed with numerous ways to align with happiness and joy. A few suggestions:
- Connect happily with another person. Have a fun, open-hearted conversation. Be fully engaged in the shared energy.
- Keep a favorite photograph on your desk or where you see it often. Pause during the day to build up the feeling of satisfaction (a picture of you accomplishing something), affection (for a family member) or pleasure you experience (seeing that tropical paradise you want to visit).
- Take 5 minutes in your yard, neighborhood or at the local park to observe the signs of spring. Expand in the moment. Thrill in the knowing that all that new growth and energy you see outside is blooming inside you and unseen out in the universe, too! Breathe it in.
- Quickly create a dream board that illustrates your current idea of happiness and joy (the doggy duo picture above makes me laugh!). Display it where you are inspired by it often.
- Voice and show your love. We keep so much inside that is beautiful and powerful. Expand that energy by sharing it!
Dream boards and vision collages can help you get clarity around what is important now, not in the past! | Inspirational Quote |

|
"99% of all creation is complete before you see any physical evidence of it. So there is a whole lot of vibrational work that takes place before manifestation begins to appear....If you can resist the temptation to take score relative to manifestation and instead let your scorekeeping be: ah, that thought does feel better, ah, I am feeling more ease, ah, I am feeling more joy ... if you will let your scorekeeping be about the way you feel, now you're taking score about your vibrational content. And since your vibrational content equals your point of attraction, that is really worth doing."

What People Are Saying! |
|
|
|
Dream boards are making a big impact on the way people experience their personal power.
"I chuckle to think about 1400 people on chairs, on the floor, in the aisles with poster boards, magazines, scissors and glue. Wow! You could feel the energy of so many people tapping into their intuition to find answers, guidance, messages from their soul...the message that revealed itself surprised and delighted me." Dominique Hurley, Canada.
"Your presentation caused a huge AHA! for me. It never occurred to me to use my intuition to make a dream board...my dream board has provided me with powerful clarity." Julie Coombs, Canada.
"The intuitive process was a blast -- a fun ride which captured something beautiful and meaningful, that I needed to realize at this time. As someone who has made a lot of carefully designed paintings, it was great to be free from the limitations of conscious design and form." Jim Papp, Washington

Letters From Readers:
"Melissa, What I notice is...the enthusiasm you bring to your work. I am reminded that "fractals", a mathematical definition of eternity, tell us that the bliss you talk about is endless and infinite, as bliss really is this way. Only our own capacity, limited by our projections of the future, limit our or others' bliss and peace. As I come down from a "high" of accomplishment or manifestation, when I can surrender to the fact that these highs contain within them the next facets of the present moment that contain never ending fractals of continuing accomplishment and serenity, then the "down" I experience becomes artificial and a product of my own imagination. A cup of coffee or tea and a nap or time spent in meditation and gratitude bring me back to the reality of the gift of bliss. Thank you for your continued work and showing me the bliss, peace and serenity that I am meant to have always."
