It has become very evident to me that we each create our own personal reality.

During the last month of economic woe I’ve experienced something remarkable: I’ve witnessed joy and excitement at a time when world economies have been shaken something fierce. I’ve enjoyed positive conversations and have been buoyed up by people who seem not affected in the least by all the hoopla in the news and fear on Wall Street.

Last Monday evening I spoke to the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance (DSWA); what a special evening. As I said to the event host at the conclusion of the evening: “I feel ridiculously happy!” This group of self-directed women are in business for themselves. Yet, there was not a trace of fear nor a solitary panicked whisper of “Did you hear the stock market went down 300 points!”

In fact, the room was bubbling with enthusiasm, radiant smiles and easy camaraderie. I had been noticing, too, that in my own life, I was not feeling affected by all the agitation-generating action and media attention. I could go about my life and still be happy. I could still do all the things this week that I had planned to do — which is connecting with others in uplifting and meaningful ways. Obviously these women felt the same. Not one seemed disempowered by the recent economic events.

I believe that we make choices all the time about how we think and how we react. We agree to spend time with people who match our vibrational level and, hence, our perspective on reality. We decide how best to go about creating the life we want — progressively learning what thoughts, beliefs, emotions and actions attract the results we desire (law of attraction).

I have been so inspired these past few weeks to be in the company of people who understand their power to create the life they dream of. I have been blessed to find myself surrounded by people who are in touch with their inner radiance and who share the essence of this radiance so generously.
