Brain Plasticity Through Intentional Awareness

Something very interesting happened on the way to my highly creative and intuitive career path in dream life manifestation.
As I delved deeper and deeper into my “What You Notice Matters!” living philosophy, and developed visual tools to help people get unblocked and moving confidently toward their goals and dreams with greater momentum, I started to hear about brain plasticity. In a nutshell: As the brain receives specific appropriate input through the senses with appropriate frequency, intensity and furation the brain physically changes its structure.
This fascinating information provides additional support to the importance of mindful living. Intentional AWARENESS greatly aids in brain health and sharpness. What wonderful synchroneity! While I explored all the ways that intentional awareness connects us to our intuition and soul, and enables us to make better everyday decisions with clarity as we move forward with joyful focus, scientists and doctors were exploring how attention expands brain health.
A few things the brain plasticity experts are saying:
- simply paying attention (mindful communications) when someone is speaking to you helps with brain plasticity (The Brain Fitness Program, PBS)
- stopping to smell the roses and admire their beauty (and awareness of other visual stimuli in your daily life) helps keep your brain sharp (The Brain Fitness Program, PBS)
- “Every time we consciously focus our attention, we change structurally.” Which means we can improve and maintain memory as we age.
Being mindfully aware and paying attention are valuable tools for body, mind and soul.
