I recently saw a headline from my New Dimensions newsletter with the headline: Is Consciousness Evolving? Without even looking at the article I I was happy to be able to answer: “Absolutely Yes!”

I see consciousness, individual and collective consciousness, evolving all around me. People are living more intentionally. People want to really feel the moments of their life and not just zoom past them in a sprint for promises of the future. People seem to really “get it” — that being more aware is a gift.

Growing up in a dysfunctional home (who didn’t right?), I glimpsed people who busied themselves and distracted themselves in order NOT TO look too closely at their lives.

They seldom, if ever, evaluated their contribution to the world, because they feared coming up short. Of course, I still observe people in this mode. Yet, much more often I see people who want to progress on all levels: body, mind, heart and soul.

Maybe it’s just me. Via the law of attraction, maybe I’m just attracting more people into my life who are on a similar seeker’s path. Yet, intuitively it feels much bigger than my personal realm of reference. After all, people like Oprah, Jack Canfield, Marianne Williamson, Eckhart Tolle and many others are reaching out and encouraging millions of people to evolve their consciousness — for both the benefit of their own lives and in service to others.
