Finding happiness

It’s funny what happens when you sort your clutter. You not only clear your space and make room for energy to optimally flow, you also unearth treasures!
As I go through all my pieces of papers scribed with to-do lists and project details and new resources, I occasionally find an inspirational gem or powerful idea that I had in a moment and wrote down for future use.
Now some people might say that a good thought always comes back. Some say that if you can’t remember something it must not have been important (ha, ha). Due to my understanding of awareness and how it feeds you information all the time, I don’t subscribe to either of these.
When you live with awareness, insights, ideas and thought treads can arise at anytime from your subconscious or be inspired by the world around you. So here are a few thoughts I wrote down about happiness that I just rediscovered.
- To be happy you need to understand what you need right now in your business or personal life. Being future focused can make you miss the meaningful steps and growth you could be experiencing in the moment. What is unfolding in your life may be developing exactly what you need. Be clear what your life is teaching you.
- To experience happiness more than discontentment, you need to have tools or processes for relieving your pain (impatience, frustration, financial worries, loneliness, lack of clear vision, fear, etc.). Intuitive dream boards often show you exactly what will make you feel better, what will put you in a more radiant space.
- To feel an sense of real fulfillment and satisfaction, you need to get in touch with your true self and dreams, rather than following someone else’s idea of happiness. The better we know ourselves, the more adaptable and resilient we tend to be, even when the rest of the world is panicking.
- Hope is required for happiness. Hope can give us peace. Hope can motivate us forward. Hope is the instinctual knowledge that we are magnificent and have potential beyond what our mind can describe.
- Feeling your link to universal source energy inspires peace of mind. Vastu expert Robin Mastro writes in her new book Making Room for Mr. Right that in her darkest moment following a divorce that she released the illusion that she control everything in her life. It was then that she became aware that help was there all along. “I was humbled and free,” she says.
- Refresh your old dreams, persevere toward goal completion, and realize that you’re a creative force with no limits.
