Intentional Awareness and Intuition: What I Know for Sure

The O, Oprah Magazine always concludes with an column from Oprah about what she knows for sure. As a seeker of truth and information, I’m intrigued by what I would list as knowing for sure. So here’s what comes to mind in regards to intentional awareness and intuition:
- What You Notice MattersTM! What you notice is information you can use to direct your everyday life. What you notice enriches your life giving it more color and texture and sensation. And, you can’t appreciate what you don’t notice.
- Your intuition is your spirit trying to get your attention. Yep. Call it your wise inner self, your higher-consciousness or God. No matter how you are comfortable thinking about it, our intuition is our wisest source of information.
- Intuitive Dream Boards let your intuition speak to you in pictures! That’s usually so much more satisfying and clear than a nudge or a feeling.
- Paying attention nurtures brain plasticity. Brain plasticity scientists and doctors agree that the simple act of paying attention to someone speaking to you, paying attention to one task at a time, paying close attention to what you are learning, and paying attention to a positive thought (for at least 20-30 seconds) expands neural pathways. Live expansively!
- Intentional Awareness and a Creative Connection to Intuition Quiets the Ego Mind. Most doubts, worries and stressful thoughts arise from an ego that hates change and risk. Of course, to be successful you need to initiate change and take considered risks. Intentional, rather than reactive, awareness is calming and grounding. Tools or practices that actively put you in touch with your intuition will keep your energy unblocked for more positive results.
- The Law of Attraction is just the tip of the iceberg. Aligning wishes (thinking) with beliefs (your emotions) and then acting to support your goals is critical for coming into your personal power. Going beyond what the mind can imagine to what the soul can imagine is key to a truly engaged and amazing life.
- We are all so much more magnificent than we can imagine. I imagine pretty big in regards to the amazing dream life manifestation abilities we have and the miraculous power of the energy behind our thoughts/beliefs/actions that we send out into the world. Yet, each time I see what my soul has to tell me and realize the full truth of my potential and life path, I get goosebumps!
- The smallest changes can reap huge benefits. I see this all the time with clients. A small glimpse into their authentic selves, a slight shift in how they perceive their true capabilities, a new look at the world on a daily basis, fresh gratitude and appreciation for the life they’ve created — these seemingly small changes make all the difference in how people experience their lives.
- We are all connected and have the power to affect each other for the better. It doesn’t take much to gift others with our attention and presence: a smile, a hello, an offer of help, a few minutes of our time. See your opportunities to connect to others than take advantage of the gifts you can extend. Not doing so is the biggest energy waste of all.
- I don’t know what I don’t know yet, but I know it’s a lot!. Each time I create another intuitive dream board (also called vision board) I’m happily curious about what I will learn about myself and how the universe operates. It’s the best classroom in the world!
