New York Times best-selling author and acclaimed expert in destiny achievement, Peggy McColl is giving away the farm today…but all you really need is The Won Thing! Her new book may be just what you need to get over the 2009 economic hump, as well as any personal blocks and finish the year strong.

I spoke with Peggy recently about her book and what in the heck The Won Thing is and why it’s the right book for right now!

Looking for the WON Thing

Peggy says that The Won Thing is the right book because she finally realized what The Won Thing is and because she noticed that there’s a real hunger for a simple solution to realizing the life of our dreams.

“I felt that from my own journey of being a student of self-help and and seeking for the ONE thing, that I’m not the only one,” said McColl.

Peggy says, as is true for all her books, she wanted to present a simple solution. “Some books are over-complicated. They don’t give the ‘how-to’ so it can be integrated into life.”

I asked her if people seek the one thing because they want a quick fix or because they really believe that there is a magic bullet out there and they just need to find it. According to McColl it’s probably a little of both.

Connect to your feelings

From her own journey and from all her life coaching she said that a great way to tell if a tool or resource is something you need to know and should take advantage of is to connect to your feelings.

For instance, McColls tells of a client who was interested in getting certified as an instructor. She ran across a program that was quite expensive. So Peggy asked her “What do you feel? Is it an investment that feels good or are you feeling anxious, like ‘I’m stretching my budget too far,’ or ‘This is not going to work for me.’”

Peggy explains that once you’re in touch with your feelings you can make a more informed decision, which may be to wait to see if you really need the certification or a decision to feel the fear and go for it anyway.

Through her own process of self-discovery and seeking, Peggy learned that once she makes a commitment to something she will always follow through. She asserts, “Once we set our mind upon a thing, we can manifest it and not concentrate on fear.

Use Your Gift of Choice

Secondly, McColl says that we have the gift of choice. “If it doesn’t feel right..Stop! Change course,” she says. It’s like going on a road trip from San Francisco to San Diego. If you decided halfway through that you didn’t want to continue going to San Diego you wouldn’t keep driving south.

McColl also says that as growing, mind-changing beings we have to get comfortable with discomfort, knowing that we’ll reach comfort again. As she so accurately states, “We’re such habitual beings…so any change feels unsettling. It’s important to go beyond what we think are our limits.”

Peggy shares that her teenage son has a big idea related to his passion for mountain biking. She says that some people would say he is too young to take real actions related to the idea. Peggy believes, “If her want to do it, he can do it. It would be a tremendous learning experience.”

The importance of paying attention to details

She also ways that in addition to having the big ideas he would have to learn to pay attention to the small details…because people notice small things.  Her husband puts out milk with her coffee mug in the morning. That’s a small detail that makes her appreciate him even more than she already does.

People are always surprised that she answers her own email. “Who else?” she says. It makes a difference according to McColl and her social media consultant reminds her that she should respond to comments on her social networking sites because if you ignore people, they will go away.

As long as Peggy keeps presenting timely, informative, insightful books like The Won Thing, it’s not likely she’ll lose her audience any time soon.

Oh, and to find out what the WON thing is you’ll have to read the book.  Go take a look at the amazing array of free gifts and bonuses she’s offering with the launch today! http://thewonthing.com.
