Release to Reveal Your Magnificence!

Are you someone who is using the law of attraction, dream boards and vision collages, wise intentions, belief-building affirmations and supportive connections to build the life of your dreams? Great. Then be sure to make “energetic” room for the all new good stuff you’re manifesting to come in and feel welcome.

Jean Houston says that we all have the extraordinary coded inside us just waiting to be released. I like to think that we more effectively reveal our core magnificence by releasing emotions, thoughts and beliefs that aren’t serving us any longer.

You can’t expect to be a non-resistant channel for creativity (manifestation) when you hold on to old ways of thinking and being. Here are a few things to release so that your positive thinking and positive intentions can truly get a foothold in your life.

  1. Regret. I’m in my 40s and talk with lots of people in midlife. More than once in the last few weeks I’ve heard people mention regret about not getting started earlier on their spiritual seeking or a new career path. Regret keeps us tied to the past. Release regret and celebrate being awake and aware right where you are. That’s a huge accomplishment. Dream boards are wonderful tools for showing next best steps and for reaffirming that you are a radiant presence already.
  2. Expectations. Enjoy your goals without attaching expectations about how achieving them will change your life. The process of moving ahead toward achieving your goals is where all the life learning and growth is. That’s the juicy stuff, the real nectar. Let yourself be surprised by the outcomes of your goal setting. Be open to experiencing what you can’t even imagine right now. After all if you already know how you want to feel, then you should practice feeling that right now!
  3. Ego fears. You’ll have to do this each day, probably several times a day. Yet, when you begin to notice how often your ego mind tells you something can’t happen or won’t work, you get the gift of putting the ego in its rightful place. Simply reaffirm your goals with a new affirmation or laugh and tell your ego that there’s a new belief in town…and then tell your ego what that new belief is. This helps you get out of your thinking ruts and build new neural pathways.
  4. Self-judgment. Just because we aren’t perfect, doesn’t mean we are barred from gifting others with our radiance. When you put your awareness on projecting your magnificence then whatever gifts your are able to give will be magnified. Practice bestowing: your attention, your support, your care, your knowledge, your life story, your smiles. We are works in progress. Start accepting failure as a sign you are trying new things and risk taking. That’s so much more important than playing it safe.
  5. Limits. Think of something you never thought you could do, be or try. Then consider doing it. Limits are illusionary boundaries the ego mind imposes so that how you stay small and compact. Think expansion! Where can you grow to take in more goodness? What new knowledge would leap you ahead in confidence? Which practices would explode the parameters of your heart?

What People Say

The openness of doing the board that I wanted appealed to me. I paid attention to Melissa’s advice about ‘What You Notice Matters!’ and loved what my dream board showed me about my future. You are a fabulous human being. Thank you Melissa!”
