Taking A Wholeness Approach to Rediscovering Your Essence with Patricia Varley

When looked at from a positive perspective, this seemingly chaotic, systems-breaking-down, hurricane-like time we find ourselves in, is actually the perfect opportunity for each of us to dig deep and emerge stronger. We can emerge more whole and more fully expressing a powerful balance between mind, heart, and soul.
A women for her time
Patricia Varley, an international speaker, trainer, retreat and seminar leader and business and life coach, knows for sure that this is her time. It’s her time to expand her calling by teaching her transformational heart-centered, soul-based process to help individuals and companies reclaim their essence for lasting empowerment that benefits themselves and the world.
“The evolutionary shift we’re experiencing allows us to align with our hearts, with our higher integrity so that we can transform into something greater,” she explains. “It doesn’t matter if you are the president of a company, a woman entrepreneur, a mother leading her family or you, as an individual, learning to lead with what you can uniquely offer. It’s time to model who you authentically are for other people.”
Putting heart and integrity back into a transformed world
According to Varley, who as a coach focuses on integrating professional, personal and spiritual growth, we’re seeing quite clearly right now where heart and integrity have been missing. And, it’s taking a big breakdown to get us out of a complacent cocoon. Old structures are dying or going away and it needed to happen. “People have to recognize that it was not only possible, but very necessary for this to happen,”says Varley, so we could bridge the old world with a transformed new world.
As Varley sees it people may be feeling the pain right now, but they are also opening up. They are opening up to bringing heart and spirit into the workplace and people like her are offering the tools and techniques to support this paradigm shift.
Varley is clearly willing to walk her talk, to be first in modeling what she teaches. “I’ve been feeling the need for this paradigm shift for 20 years!” exclaims Varley, who doesn’t see this as a time for doom and gloom at all. She’s been trying to bridge spirituality with business since the early 90s. She embraces this life role, saying, “Someone’s got to do it, someone has to be the paradigm pioneer, if not me, who?”
Building our courage muscles
She does admit that people have to develop their courage muscles and that there can be discomfort during this process, yet that’s how we grow. As she so compassionately explains it, the pain does not come from being afraid that we will not like what we find at our core, at our heart. The pain comes from pulling away the deep seated leaves (think of an artichoke) that we think represent who we are. We may not be touch with the “heart” inside, which is our essence, our wholeness, our life blueprint.
She equates the leaves of an artichoke to the blocks and the conditioning that need to be pealed away so that our authentic hearts can burst forth. Varley always gets very busy during times of upheaval. Just as now, she got very busy after 9/11. When people are in discomfort they reach out to someone like Patricia who can help them align their personality with their soul and support their vision.
“Then there’s a domino effect. When people are able to be a bigger container for their creative expression, their work and their purpose…the world will change. The shift comes individually and collectively,” Varley states.
Getting grounded in essence rather than ego
Varley is so grounded in her own vision and purpose, that it is indeed contagious. Even as she describes the hurricane all around us, she conveys her certainty that we can each be anchored in calmness by our core values, in the sense that no matter what we can know and trust our authenticity.
Times like this are ideal for co-collaborating and sharing our gifts, too.
As Varley says, “In times of change and chaos, our divine calling is solid. It becomes more the essence of me, versus the ego of me.”
