Welcome to Manifesting Magic!

What I learned while creating a dream board webinar

I’ve just completed video taping  for my first webinar: Dream Board Magic. This is an exciting project for me. My work with intuitive dream boards is so visual, so it makes a lot of sense to offer a dream board course for people who can’t come to a live seminar or workshop retreat.

Of course, since this was my first go at a video project, it was also a wonderful learning process for me. Here’s what I learned during the intentional creation of this dream board webinar.

  1. Preparation equals creative confidence. I was working with a local studio called the Biz Talk Video Lab. On their website I could download free teleprompter software that allowed me to practice speaking my dream board course copy out loud. I found this invaluable for arriving at the studio ready to shoot.
  2. Clear intention results in satisfying manifestation. I held the clear intention that each section of Dream Board Magic would be completed in just one take. And that became the reality!
  3. Perfection has no place in the creative process. Was each take absolutely perfect? Absolutely not! I occasionally mispronounced a word or sounded a little sibilant. My curly hair didn’t always cooperate. Yet, I mindfully cut myself some slack. I knew if I re-taped a ten minute section I was bound to just make different minor mistakes. I was more concerned with being real than with being perfect.
  4. It takes imagination to connect with an invisible audience. When you’re talking to a camera, it can be a challenge to create the energy and connection you naturally experience in front of a live audience. So I brought up the feeling of love I easily feel for my clients and audiences as I spoke to that silent camera. I hope anyone seeing the webinar connects to that heart-full energy.
  5. Learning is a process. Since I had never shot on a green screen before I wasn’t sure what colored backgrounds would work best for me. Same for wardrobe. Like most things in life, you learn a step at a time and then take that new knowledge forward in new endeavors. It’s not helpful to “wish” you had known everything ahead of time, because there is always more you can know. That’s a good thing.
  6. New projects highlight the greater potential of life. Any time I endeavor to try something new, I’m always amazed at how much richer my life becomes — as if I’ve just crossed a threshold into a whole new field of opportunity.  It’s like the difference being content with a glass that is only half full at all times compared to the feeling of having a glass that keeps getting magically filled up again and again. (I just had the memory of old Betwitched episodes when Samantha would perform this trick jump into my mind.)
  7. Expecting to enjoy a new endeavor or challenge always manifests a happy experience. If you expect great results, and a joyful experience, that is what you’ll create. In the last five years, I’ve gotten past a terrible fear of public speaking to the point of being so thrilled to inspire others. With this new Dream Board Magic webinar, I just realized that I love video taping in a studio in the spirit of taking my message of intentional awareness and intuitive brilliance to a whole new group of people. Fun!

Stay tuned. I’ll let you know when Dream Board Magic launches.
