When dreams come true!

“What’s the dream?” Simon Cowell asked 47 year old Susan Boyle on the TV show Britan’s Got Talent. To be a professional singer, replied the middle-aged woman with certainty. Then she sang the song from Les Miserables: “I Dreamed a Dream.” Perfect!!

So it should be no surprise that she then stepped into her light, into the spot the Universe had opened just for her, and she made her dream come true. You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY

The lesson here? There are several, but two stick out for me. When you’re clear of what you want, your dream will come true. It may take you some 30 years, but a time will come when you can make your dream come true. And, secondly, when your opportunity comes you have to recognize it and say “YES!” no matter how preposterous it may still seem. Only then can you step into your light and explode your radiance.

I think I got goosebumps not only from the quality of her singing, but event more from the KNOWING that I was witnessing magic! I was witness to that moment when someone’s dream energy connects with everyone witnessing the dream. At a moment like this it feels not like just one person’s dream coming true, but like everyone’s dream coming true at the same instant. In that moment we can all feel what it’s like to realize our dreams. And that’s thrilling and touching beyond words. It is indeed a privilege to witness.

At the end of her audition, Simon told her, “You can go back to the village with your head held high,” but the truth is she won’t really just go back to the village the same woman. She will never be the same having stepped into that light. Her life will be brighter as long as she believes her dream is hers to have and keep expanding.

So keep your dreams in your heart. Keep dream boarding. And, soon where your vision goes, so will reality go.

What People Say

The openness of doing the board that I wanted appealed to me. I paid attention to Melissa’s advice about ‘What You Notice Matters!’ and loved what my dream board showed me about my future. You are a fabulous human being. Thank you Melissa!”
